Have you ever wanted to access all the amazing color swatches that Kuler offers while working in After Effects without having to do a lot of copy and paste or manual importing? Well my friends gather near and I’ll tell you how...

Ok I should warn you that this is a “mac-only” tutorial. I haven’t done this on a pc yet, but I’m sure there’s a way.

First start by downloading the mac color picker plugin “Mondrianum.” Once you’ve installed it, restart your machine so that next time you open the apple color picker it should appear in the top menu bar.

Step 1;

Now launch your After Effects project, and got to Preferences -> General

Step 2;

Now select “Use System Color Picker,” this will enable you to use the apple color picker in After Effects.

Step 3;

Now when you launch the color picker in After Effects go to the very last icon, the Mondrianum plugin, and now you can access all the cool swatches from Kuler without having to launch multiple browsers or copying and pasting values from one app to the other.
