Other news, one of my tutorials was posted on SmashingMagazine.com, which by the way is pretty
cool! So if you find more of my tutorials or work anywhere, please
shoot me an email and let me know.
I've been working on some new
illustrations recently, say hello to one of the first ones "Alien
Attack v2." This is a remake of an older illustration I created
about a year ago. Keep checking back for the next few coming out
soon.
Here's
a screen capture showing how I illustrated the "Giant Mutant Bird"
image. Unfortanutely I ran out of disk space halfway through so I
couldn't capture the rest of the design process. But I think it
covers a good amount of the illustration.
I'd also like to credit Alex Hannah with creating the score for the
video.
Greetings fellow blog scanners! I have a great
announcement to share with you! I will be showcasing some of my art
at the"1st
Thursdays"art exhibit at the
Orlando Art Museum. If you're in town and want to stop on by and
check out some really awesome artwork feel free
to!

to Z: Anthropomorphism and ZoomorphismAnthropomorphism
is the attribution of human forms or characteristics to non-human
beings or objects, and zoomorphism is the use of animal forms in
the same way. Think: personification of inanimate objects or
abstract things such as emotions, machines, shape-shifters, the
weather, cars, gods and goddesses, patterns using animal imagery,
mythological beings, etc.
Here it is, another illustration in
the "Giant Mutant
Killer Creatures" series! In this one instead of using toxic
waste in liquid form like in previous illustrations, I used it in a
smoke form. I thought this would be the best since the birds are in
the air instead of on the ground.
Here's an image I
created called
"Giant Mutant Killer Crab,"it's a crab that has
been mutated by toxic waste (seen on it's head) into a giant
creature who wrecks havoc upon it's environment!
Here are some random close up shots to give you a better view of
all the detail that went into this piece.
Here’s something awesome, I had some
of my artwork show up as the cover art for the album
“Seafood EP” by Antonie Caesar. Below is what the
album art looks like along with an awesome article about the
artist.
This next bit comes courtesy of Really Really Big
Records, Antoine Caesar’s Seafood EP. This offering is a
bit of a break from RRBR’s usual offering of warm prog; instead,
they have opted to get their feet wet in the realm of techno (No
worries, they will still kick out that progressive stuff that you
might happen to know and, if you know it, love). Anyways, three
tracks; Live Lobster, Seafood, and a remix of Seafood by Aneuria.
Nautical puns will ensue.
A first in a new series to come, my
“Killer Mutant Creatures” collection will feature
some crazy creatures that have been mutated into giant monsters who
wreck havoc upon anyone who dares enter in their environment.
This series will play off all those classic “Godzilla” and B-Horror
movies. So keep watch, soon I will release a new image in the
series this week!

Here’s a second image in my series of “Killer Mutant Creatures.”
Here a giant mutant penguin attacks an eskimo village. There’s
still some work that needs to be done in this piece and I’ll
probably update it later this week, but hey it’s coming
along!
Here’s a work in progress I’m playing
around with. Digging the colors, but I want to find something to
add to the background, give it a little bit more texture.
The new business cards finally came in
today! And I gotta tell ya, I’m really lov’n the new design, they
turned out a lot better than I thought! Can’t wait to start handing
these out!!
Had a great time attending this art show, got to see a lot of great
local artist and artwork. Plus this is was the first time my
artwork has been in a local art show.
Thanks to all who came out this evening to support my work! If you
weren’t able to attend you can see some of the photos taken at my
flickr gallery. Or you can check out the
following links from uberbot and orlando sentinel.
A cool little illustration i was
working on while I was bored waiting for some motion graphics to
render. He's a character made completely out of gold, i also gave
him a speedo to make fun of the style some super hero
costumes.
